This is the time to be slow,
Lie low to the wall
Until the bitter weather passes.
Try, as best you can, not to let
The wire brush of doubt
Scrape from your heart
All sense of yourself
And your hesitant light.
If you remain generous,
Time will come good;
And you will find your feet
Again on fresh pastures of promise,
Where the air will be kind
And blushed with beginning.
Due to the current health emergency we are all facing, all my sessions have been moved online to Videoconferencing or Telehealth platforms.
There's no time like now to give online counselling a try. Being able to connect virtually has revolutionized the way we can access mental health support. From the comfort of your own home, office, car or even out in the fresh open air you can get compassionate support and effective tools for ending painful cycles of depression, anxiety and stress, trauma wounds and relationship stress.
Be assured online counselling has been proven to be just as effective. More so in any cases. Research has revealed that many clients feel more empowered to be able to choose their own location. Being in the comfort of your own space sometimes enables a deeper conversation. The feedback has been that after a while it starts to feel like we are in the same room. Much like in person appointments, I will keep connecting with you to make sure you are having a good experience.
As long as you have a space that you feel safe and comfortable in with a decent internet connection, we can begin our therapeutic journey together. A computer, iPad or even a smart phone works.
If you have any questions about online counselling you can contact me here. Why not give it a try? You can also book a no obligation free 15 minute Videoconferencing or phone consultation. Check out my online booking page for available times.
Online sessions are conducted through Doxy.me a secure, end to end encrypted telemedicine server. What that means is it is confidential. It is designed for convenient and effective face to face conversations. With the HD picture you will feel like we are in the same room.
Your privacy is important
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the counselling relationship. Being able to share your stories and personal experience in a safe way is ensured with a Doxy online session. Here are some privacy details:
Doxy does not store your personal information. No log in details are required. You simply click a link which takes you directly to my virtual waiting room.
The servers are PHIPA and PIPEDA compliant (regulation for the way Canadian patient health information is stored). But no information is stored which makes it particularly secure.
End-to-end encryption ensures our call is shared between provider and patient only.
The world is so empty if one thinks only of mountains, rivers & cities; but to know someone who thinks & feels with us, & who, though distant, is close to us in spirit, this makes the earth for us an inhabited garden.
Getting started with your sessions
Once you've booked a time for your session, I will email you a confirmation with all the details to start the Videoconference call. There is a short intake with some informed consents to sign then we will be ready to begin. You will get all the instructions in your introductory email.
To check in for your appointment simply click this link which will take you to my virtual waiting room. If prompted, be sure to give camera and audio permissions.
