Therapy

Not I, not any one else can travel that road for you,
You must travel it for yourself.

It is not far, it is within reach,
Perhaps you have been on it since you were born and did not know.

My supervision approach
Original on Transparent_edited_edited.pn

In my time as a therapist, I have had excellent supervision. I have also noticed when supervision methods are less effective and don't support increasing competency and help the therapist build confidence.

I aim to create a supervision environment that provides:

  • a landing place of support to share your work and help you feel listened to and supported. With a foundational principle of organicity that recognizes the growth that occurs when we are given the right conditions.

  • Encouragement to identify your unique strengths as a therapist. You will come with your own skills, training, values and life experiences that go into your own unique therapist signature.

  • A compassionate lens to look at roadblocks that are coming up for you in your work with clients.

  • Skills in understanding therapeutic impasses and enactments as a normal part of therapy that is best served by opening awareness to them.

  • Gentle encouragement to map out and enact the growth as a therapist you are wanting to see over time.
